Items with the "fair product" logo are made by Désirée Webers in her studio in Amsterdam. We call it a fair product because it is not a mass product, contrairy to almost all clothing that is on the market today, made in bad working conditions by exploited and suppressed and often underaged labourers in China, India or Vietnam. Fair products are made with love in small editions in the artisan way. And we try to keep our prices "fair" too.
While other brands pay tremendous amounts of money on marketing and expensive shops on luxurious highstreets, we don't. We do our website and photography ourselves and the best PR is after all word-of-mouth. We are located in the informal Nieuwmarktbuurt between the Thai and Chinese. Because we don't have to charge our clients all these extra costs, we are able to offer them a nicely priced item, made in Amsterdam. On top we give extra service regarding all questions, complaints or alterations of our products.
Big companies are mainly busy with selling a brand name and a little story that goes with it. The quality of their products is of minor importance. They squeeze their asian suppliers to maximise their profits.
Don't be a cow and let these fake advertising and marketing stories deceive you. Keep it real and buy fair! |
