| Fabrics Lycra and Supplex Lycra (also known as Spandex and Elastane) is a family of premium stretch fibres that has a remarkable ability to stretch up to 600% and spring back to its original length. It is usually combined in a percentage between 10 and 20% with possibly every other fibre - both natural and manmade - to achieve different levels of stretch and recovery, while retaining the feel and appearance of the combined fibre. Items with lycra move easily with the body's natural movements, but recover their original shape when allowed to relax. Benefits of Lycra: - Incomparable fit and comfort
- Freedom of movement
- Crease recovery
- Stretch ability of up to 600%
- Enduring shape retention
Supplex is a family of fabrics that combines the traditional appeal of cotton -soft, breathable- and the quality of modern fiber technology. Cotton has shortcomings: it doesn't stretch and garments tend to crease and shrink and colors fade. Supplex gives you the feel of cotton with the benefits of modern stretch fibres. Supplex fabrics are: - Fully breathable like cotton
- Able to hold their shape, stretch, not shrink
- Faster drying than cotton
- Color fast
- Crease recovering
Lycra and Supplex fibres can be machinewashed at low temperatures. Handwashing will increase lifetime. Do not soak. Do not bleach. Avoid abrasive surfaces. Do not iron. When heavily creased hang up and moisten with water spray.Leather We use different kinds of leather, each with it's own specific qualities: - Soft nappa: a basic good quality cow's leather
- Horse-leather: very strong and shape retentive, soft surface, drum-dyed (dyed through and through)
- Japanese leather: extremely soft and supple cow's leather, drum-dyed (dyed through and through)
- Treated cowskin: cowskin treated with chemicals and different dyes resulting in unique colorful pieces. Very expensive due to the labour-intensive production process
- Nubuck: a treated cow leather with a soft, suede-like texture. Handle like suede. May stain on light coloured fabrics.
Leather doesn't need much treatment, hang it in a cool, airy and dry place afer wearing. If the surface looks dry treat with leatherwax. Take to professional cleaner if stained. Leather underwear can be washed carefully with shampoo, dried in a cool place and softened with vaseline when dry. Other materials pvc: handwash in cold water. Don't soak. Polish with soft cloth when dry. Don't keep different colours pvc touching each other: darker colours may stain lighter ones. latex: rinse in cold water. Treat with silicon spray/liquid when dry. feathers: air out when worn. Can be washed carefully with wool-product/shampoo. Blowdry carefully afterwards. metal: handwash when necessary. Don't soak. Toweldry afterwards. Sizes Since our production is limited we mainly have small and medium sizes.
